GRMDC offers routine Dental Services including:

Endodontics - Root canals
Pediatric dentistry- Dentistry for children
Periodontics- Dental cleaning
Prosthodontics- Dentures & Crowns
Restorative dentistry- Fillings
Oral Surgery- Dental extractions

The GRMDC Health Center also provides referrals for specialty care, including orthodontics (braces).

The dental department emphasizes pediatric dentistry and encourage parents to start introducing children to dentistry as early as three years of age.

In 1996 The Greater Roslindale Medical & Dental Center and the Charles Sumner School initiated a dental program for children. With written permission from parents, children are walked to the health centers dental program for routine dental care. This makes it very convenient for parents who are unable to accompany their children to the dentist due to work schedule or other reasons.

The Dental Department offers outreach programs by a dedicated dental staff to promote oral health and good nutrition in the community.

GRMDC has evening hours for dentistry on Wednesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for patients who cannot make it to the dentist before 5:00 p.m. Our weekday hours are Mon, Tues, Thursday, 9-5 and Friday 9-12: 30 p.m.

Immunization Information: The immunization Program at the GRMDC has been working in conjunction with the Boston Immunization Information System over the past few years, and this collaboration has produced great results. Starting with an immunization rate of 24 % in November 1994, we have soared to a rate of 90% and received both a Mayoral achievement Citation from the Honorable Thomas Menino and acknowledgement of attaining president Clinton's Healthy Children 2000 goals from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. We will continue to work with state-wide immunization efforts to coordinate data and deliver the highest quality of care to our patients.
